Low Light

house plants

Frequently, our customers feel they can't have houseplants due to the low light in their homes; this is simply not true! You just need to purchase plants that can thrive in low light environments and this section is the perfect place to start.

Note: It's important to remember that there are no plants that can survive permanently in a 'no-light' room without purchasing full-spectrum grow lights (i.e. a bathroom or office without any windows)

what's considered low light?

It's hard to give an exact answer because many factors include what direction your window is facing, any obstructions like large trees or patio covers and curtains, etc. But a good place to start is following this guide:

+ In or near a north facing window

+ Middle of the room

+ Hallways
+ Bathroom with small windows
+ Corners of bedrooms away from window
+ Any place you will turn the light on if doing activities in that room.
